I grew up learning one thing from my mom: if you take care of what you love, it lasts. She didn’t have much, but the few pieces she owned were looked after so well they lasted for decades. Her black suede kitten heels? Iconic. I dreamed of wearing them one day (the ones on the right are similar to hers, but not quite).

Because money was tight, I’d keep the same shoes for years — and still wanted them to look fresh every time I walked out the door. So my mom showed me her rituals: how to clean, restore, and treat materials with care.

“Tala” was her childhood nickname. “Rossi” means red-haired in Italian — a nod to my aunt, her sister, with her striking knee-length copper-red hair.

Tala Rossi is my way of honouring them both. It’s a brand built on quality over quantity and caring for the things you choose to own — so they stay with you for the long run.

I’ve always loved suede. It’s that mix of luxury, texture, and confidence you can feel — whether it’s your go-to sneakers, the bag you splurged on, or the jacket that pulls every outfit together. But when your favourite suede pieces lose their beauty… it’s disappointing. We’ve all been there — too obsessed to throw them away, but too shy to actually wear them outside. 

Thanks to everything my mom taught me about material care, I knew how to care for suede. But even then, I ran into a problem: I couldn’t find a suede revive spray in the shade of yellow to fix a big black scuff mark on my brand-new suede heels. That moment pushed me to look deeper.

Through research and conversations, I discovered that many people struggle with the same issues — not having the right tools, the right colours, or clear instructions. And the products that do exist? Not exactly aesthetic. Mismatched colours, missing essentials, and cans so ugly they get hidden under the sink.

So I decided to fix it — by creating something I actually wanted to use myself. Something beautiful, functional, and fashion-forward. Tala Rossi was born from a simple idea: for the love of suede. So your favourite pieces stay fresh, iconic, and part of your story.

Tala Rossi was built by listening to real people and real suede struggles. Before creating anything, I spent time understanding what felt confusing, what was missing, and what would actually make suede care easier. I tested prototypes on dozens of suede pieces, refined colour matches, and tried different brushes, erasers, gloves, tapes, and packaging until everything worked.

Finding the right people was just as important as finding the right tools. I searched for people who are craftsman — from a packaging designer who could bring a modern, premium look to life, to an icon designer who helped make instructions clear at a glance, to a spray supplier who could deliver quality formula in rich colours, to a packaging company that was open to many iterations, to a photographer who brought creative vision to life. 

I also made sure each set includes the small but essential items people always wish they had on hand: gloves, masking tape, and reusable paper. No more hunting for extra items or improvising at home - everything you need comes ready in the box.

The result is a care experience designed for you: tools that work, colours that match, instructions that are easy to follow, and packaging that looks good anywhere. So caring for suede feels effortless, and you always look your best.
